We visited Cadbury World last weekend to check out their Christmas Celebration Weekends, and had a fantastic day. We are very local so it only took us 5 minutes to get there in the car. Parking is plentiful and free, but if you are travelling by train the Bournville station is just a short walk away.
We visited Hatton Adventure World back at Easter and really enjoyed it. When we were invited to go and check out Pumpkin Week, we happily made plans to go along on the first weekend of half term. Unfortunately we’ve all been taking it in turns to be ill since then and blogging has been put on the back burner, so this post is horribly late.
On Saturday afternoon, we headed into Birmingham City Centre to watch the Disney on Ice show at the NIA. It was FANTASTIC.
We parked up in the NIA car park, and found the queue & entrance easily. Our tickets were checked as we entered and our bag searched. We found our seats easily, with the help of one of the many stewards that were dotted around the arena. The NIA is undergoing a refurbishment at the moment, which is nearly complete, and the new chairs were comfy and the loos much improved.
We just spent five days staying at a caravan park in Felixstowe, mainly to visit James’s family and partly because we needed a break! Tale of the Brave is the latest Thomas & Friends film, and we were lucky enough to be invited to go along to Drayton Manor, home of Thomas Land, to watch the new film in the cinema there. I took Lydia and Georgie along on the train for the day, to check out the new film and have some fun on the rides afterwards!
The film is great fun, a tale of ghosts, bravery and friendship. Several new characters are introduced and they have some scary and exciting adventures. There are some fun songs, some ever so slightly scary bits, and lessons about what courage really is, and how friends help each other.
