We headed over to Hatton Adventure World last Friday to check out their Pumpkin Week event which they were running during the October half term holiday. We were really lucky with the weather, as it was blazing sunshine and fairly mild temperatures all day – so nice in fact that we were out of doors for almost all of the time we were there, which is impressive for a late October day out.

We went along to the National Forest Adventure Farm for their Halloween Spook-tacular event at the weekend, and the girls really enjoyed their day out filled with pumpkins, witches and broomsticks. Mind you, they weren’t so keen on the fun house clown!
When we were invited to see the latest Disney on Ice tour at Arena Birmingham, we jumped at the chance! As a family, we all love Disney on Ice – we are all Disney fans, and James and I really enjoy the spectacular skating on display throughout the show.

At the weekend we headed into town to say goodbye to The Big Sleuth bears, at their special farewell event. On Thursday they’ll be going under the hammer to raise money for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital charity (and the online bidding has started already!), and proceeds from the farewell weekend also go to the charity. …

Everybody in our house loves a Toby Carvery meal, and so when we were contacted about their new Family Platters that they have on offer at a handful of their restaurants around the country we were very happy to go along to the Quinton Toby to try it out.
We were invited along to spend a day at Drayton Manor, and had a great day out. They girls have been longtime fans of Thomas Land so they were very excited to be visiting again – and also looked forward to enjoying some of the other rides in the park that they are now tall enough for.
