When I visited the new Birmingham Bullring Smiggle store, I was given a rather exciting advent calendar! I really like stationery, especially the kind of funky and colourful stuff that Smiggle specialises in, so to get a stationery treat every day from December 1st until Christmas is super exciting.
Just before Christmas, we were contacted with the offer of a gift from Direct Line of a brand new artificial Christmas tree. I appreciate that this review may have been more useful posted in early December, but the tree arrived in the nick of time on Christmas Eve, just hours before we planned to decorate the house. It’s a good thing my parents like to stick to the traditional 12 days of Christmas for decoration!
It’s no secret that my favourite chocolate is the delicious milk chocolate from Hotel Chocolat. I adore their selector slabs, and James has to drag me in the opposite direction whenever we are within sight of the HC store in the city centre. I demand ask very nicely for Hotel Chocolat to be my edible treat each birthday and Christmas, and last year James even treated me to one of their advent calendars, which was delicious!
Funky Giraffe are best know for their cute and trendy bandana dribble bibs, so this branch out into Christmas stockings is a little unexpected, but not unwelcome! Available both plain or personalised, these stockings are super cosy and come in the lovely traditional colours of red & green.
I have to admit, luxury is not the first word that comes to mind when I think about supermarket chocolate. I tend to only buy own brand chocolate if I am baking, and even then it’s quite rare.
