Georgie in the Trunki ToyBox

Review: We bought the Trunki ToyBox last weekend after Georgie started chewing & just generally destroying the boxes we were using to keep toys in downstairs, and so far it has been a great success.

In our house we are trying to keep our living room a relatively baby free zone once Georgie has gone to bed. If I have the energy to tidy up, her toys are collected up and popped into a box for the night, and the colourful material on the floor is pulled up & folded, revealing our “grown up” rug underneath. Bigger toys like her Galt dino and her Vtech walker are thrown into the travel cot which is tucked away in the back corner of the room.. and then we can relax in an adult environment for a bit before falling into bed. We usually use this “grown up time” to watch some TV… or play games on the Playstation!

Review: Victoria the Slinglady

Product: Wrap Slings from Victoria the Slinglady

Price: £15.00 to £25.00

Age Range: Newborn to Toddler

Manufacturer’s Description: This business was started from me making my own carrier, being on a budget i just could not afford a branded carrier. A few friends saw my carrier asked me to make them one and it went from there. There are many families who really wanted to have the experience of having their little one close but a low income they just couldn’t afford to. There are now 2 of slinglady myself and Nikki I make the Stretch plain and the panels and Nikki makes the Smith-firm and the patterned stretch. We want to show it is possible to sell beautiful and most importantly safe wrap slings at a price families on a budget could afford.

Rating:   (5/5 stars)

Review: I bought my first wrap sling before Georgie was born, after looking at the different types of carriers and deciding that I wanted to go down the wrap sling route – they just looked so much more comfortable for both Mum & baby than the carriers which are a giant confusion of straps and buckles!

Front facing to see the Irish Sea!

Review: As promised by the manufacturer this play tent was easy to construct and could easily be done by one person – in fact Georgie and I cuddled on the chair in the nursery while we watched my husband do the labour! We were impressed by the quality of the materials – it is made from solid wood poles connected with strong plastic connectors which all slot together to make a strong frame for the tent.

Candy Confusion Disc Pendant

Review: My sister gave me my heart-shaped GUMIGEM necklace for my birthday back in July, and I loved it instantly! One of the things I have discovered since having a baby is they love to grab things and put them into their mouths – and it only gets worse when they start teething! These fab necklaces allow you to wear jewellery (and pretty fab looking jewellery at that!), and not have to worry when your child grabs it and has a chew!

Review: Fisher-Price Aquarium Bath Centre

We bought this bath from the Mothercare sale, using vouchers that my old work colleagues gave me when I went on maternity leave. At the price we paid it cost about £10 more than the Mothercare branded bath sets, which we considered worth paying because of the safety features of this well designed & adaptive bath.

Review: Galt Activity Dino

My sister gave us a Galt Activity Dino* when Georgie was born, and it came very highly recommended by her daughter Izzy, who is about 8 months older than her little cousin Georgie!

Review: VTech Lullaby Light-Up Lamb

This lamb has to be one of the best toys I have bought for Georgie so far, and certainly one of her favourites! I bought when she was about 3 months old, and she quickly got the hang of whacking the big button on the front to start/change the music, an accomplishment that always leaves her with a proud smile on her face!
