Bigjigs Play Patrol

Review: Bigjigs Toys Wooden Safari Animal Building Blocks (8 months on)

We are delighted to be in the running to be selected as Play Patrol agents for the second year of the scheme… there are 21 hopefuls and we have all been sent a mission to complete; reviewing these fab Wooden Safari Animal Building Blocks. The slight snag with this challenge is we reviewed them back in August, complete with a stop-motion animation video and 5 star rating.

Review: Bigjigs Toys Figure of Eight Roadway Set

We have been playing with wooden railway for the past year, growing our collection, and Georgie thinks it is just great. When we saw that Bigjigs Toys have roadway as part of their range, we knew that we would have to get some for Georgie sometime, as it expands and complements your railway. We were delighted to be sent this figure of eight track to test out, and start off our roadway collection.

Review: Bigjigs Toys Nurse Nancy Doll

Last year we reviewed a Melody doll from the Bigjigs Dolls range, as part of the fantastic Play Patrol scheme we have been taking part in since last Spring, and she rapidly became Georgie’s favourite toy. For Christmas, our lucky little girl was given the Bigjigs Daisy Doll Cradle by my parents, and James & I treated her to a new toy pushchair too – all for play time with Melody.

Review: Bigjigs Toys Fairy Skittles

Bigjigs Toys Fairy Skittles

As soon as Georgie saw these skittles she was smitten… the bright colours, cheerful faces, and wacky variety of headgear seem to have made her a happy girl indeed… she has taken to carting them about the place exclaiming “I love my fairies”.

In the box you get 6 fairies and a little pink ball to bowl them over with. Each fairy is unique with different hats, hair colours, and so on. The ball and fairies are all wooden with the exception of their sticky out bits of hair which are made from plastic, and the net wings.

Review: Bigjigs Toys Candy Floss Tea Tray Set & Muffin Tray

Georgie has really been getting into imaginative play and role play lately, and so when this Play Patrol mission arrived there was a big smile on her face and some excited jumping about while I opened the boxes and handed over each piece in turn.

Review: Bigjigs Toys Wooden Safari Animal Building Blocks

Georgie’s 3rd Bigjigs Mission 3 package arrived with these gorgeous Safari Building Blocks inside… and a special challenge. We had to make a creative video with our new building blocks, and review the new toy within the video too.

After lots of fun and stacking of blocks, here is our video review!

I’d like to talk about this building block set a little as well, for those who would prefer to read a written summary of why Georgie loves this toy so much.

Review: Bigjigs Toys Melody Doll

Last week a Very Exciting Package arrived… Georgie’s 2nd Play Patrol mission! We received this gorgeous doll called Melody, and Georgie fell in love instantly.

Melody is a soft doll with traditional style clothes and woollen hair. She comes wearing underwear, a long sleeved t-shirt and a very cute denim dress, all of which can be removed. The dress & t-shirt have velcro fastenings at the back, making it easy for little fingers to do up & undo. Georgie loved undressing Melody and I had to keep sneakily putting her clothes back on when Georgie was otherwise engaged, so that the poor doll didn’t have to spend her whole life naked!

Review: Bigjigs Toys Farm House Sorter

We have been sent the Bigjigs Toys Farm House Sorter to review as part of our application to become Play Patrol agents. Bigjigs Toys are looking for 5 families to join their blogger programme, and help them test & review their toys in fun creative ways. All we were told when the final 12 Play Patrol hopefuls were announced was to keep an eye out for the postman, so we were very intrigued to see what would arrive!
